WeMade Taps Microsoft-Backed Web3 Platform to Boost Gaming Services

Wemade, a South Korea-based gaming enterprise, announced its partnership with Space and Time to empower its decentralized gaming platforms. Space and Time is a Microsoft-backed industry leader in decentralized data management and storage solutions. Talking about Wemade, it is a game development company planning to shift its focus to decentralized gaming services and platform development with its latest Blockchain-based gaming platform, WEMIX PLAY. Wemade is a familiar player and beginner in the gaming industry. The brand has a substantial market cap of $1.4 billion.

WEMIX PLAY platform has approximately 20 Play to Earn games from multiple genres, including their most influential gaming products, MIR M and MIR4. With this partnership with SxT, the gaming entity looks forward to leveling up its Blockchain-based gaming services & platform with a suite of decentralized developer tools, per a press release in Finbold.

The company’s Blockchain dev division, WEMIX, is now working to roll out a series of Web3-based products, including NFTs, DeFi, and the most prominent of all, WEMIX coin. The gaming giant plans to aggressively utilize the decentralized infrastructure of Microsoft-backed Space and Time to develop scalable and more robust Gaming and Finance integration.

The partnership will power up Wemade’s Ethereum layer 2 Zero Knowledge Proof protocols to enhance end users’ security and privacy. With these new add-ons, the developers in the space can link user/player real-time off-chain data to on-chain smart contracts with SxT’s decentralized data storage and management solutions. It will make it more feasible for Wemade to introduce better and easier earning schemes for their Play to Earn games by interconnecting their data warehouses with Blockchain-based platforms. It will also reduce Wemade’s on-chain storage costs and conduct immutable analytics regarding in-game activities.
